Liz Mead

Liz is in her 2nd chapter of life using the experience from her policing career as the Head of Crime and Public Protection for Bedfordshire Police. A career Detective, Liz led major crime investigations with ethics and safeguarding at the heart of everything she undertook. Her career included being a trained hostage and crisis negotiator, a mental health well-being champion, a media commentator and an ambassador for kickoff@3 and a supporter of policing charities.

Liz created empowering cultures, by ensuring supportive, authentic and ethical leadership across Teams, Departments and Commands and led by the motto of a simple test ‘Can I sleep at night with the decisions that I have made?’

Since 2020, the Director of her own business Inspiring Blues Ltd., Liz works with organisations and police forces across the country on equality, diversity and inclusion training and delivery. Liz also provides mentoring and coaching for those seeking promotion and career development and is a NLP coach and MBTI practitioner.

A Director at the Hope Collective, Liz is passionate that our young people, our next generation are given the opportunities to accomplish far more than they ever thought possible through support, knowledge, confidence and self-belief, with guidance and nurturing and the resources to thrive.
