Stephen Skeet

Stephen is a Director at Social Action Charity Volunteering Matters and plays a leadership role in the coordination of the #iwill Movement with partner colleagues at UK Youth.

Stephen worked in Youth Justice in Suffolk for 10 years, supporting young people with multiple adverse childhood experiences through Court and Remand processes, before spending 2 years supporting young people at HMP YOI Warren Hill. In 2008, Stephen supported young people to design, name, brand and build a £6m youth facility in Suffolk, The Mix, where he was a Vice Chair of Trustees for 6 years. Stephen moved to the 3rd Sector in 2013, managing a wide range of services, such as resettlement for offenders, domestic abuse services for families, and street drinker projects outreach support.

Stephen volunteers as a Governor at a Maintained Nursery School and is a Safeguarding Governor at a High School, both in Ipswich. He is a qualified football coach and coaches a local U12s mixed gender football team on Saturdays.
